Bank Holiday Surcharge

A surcharge of £5 per visit applies on the following Scottish public holidays:

• New Year’s Day (1 January)
• 2 January
• Good Friday
• Early May Bank Holiday
• Spring Bank Holiday
• Summer Bank Holiday
• St Andrew’s Day (or substitute day)
• Christmas Eve (limited availability)
• Boxing Day

+paws Cat Care does not operate on Christmas Day.

Includes up to 2 cats

Every visit is carried out personally by the owner and includes:

• Feeding and fresh water
• Litter tray cleaning
• Playtime and companionship
• Medication administration (where agreed)
• Daily photo and update message
• Plant watering if required
• Standard mail brought inside from the letterbox
• Bin management
• Home security checks

Additional Cats

• 3 cats: +£2 per visit
• 4 cats: +£4 per visit
• Larger households: by arrangement

Drop in visits will include: Let in/out, clean bowls, feed and fresh water, clean any mess, brush, cuddles, fuss and playtime, clean litter tray and any other duties. All surfaces and items touched, will be sanitised and cleaned before we leave.

Medication & Daily Updates

Many cats require medication as part of their daily routine. Having cared for cats throughout my life, including my own cats Tigger and Argo, I have experience administering a variety of medications, including tablets, liquid medication and injections prescribed by a veterinary surgeon.

Medication can be administered during visits where this has been discussed and agreed in advance.

A brief update will be sent after each visit, together with photographs where possible. Updates may include feeding and water intake, litter tray use, medication administered, general wellbeing, and any observations from the visit. This helps owners stay informed and reassured while they are away from home.

Free Meet & Greet

A free consultation visit is included before your first booking. This allows us to discuss:

• Your cats’ names, personalities and routines
• Feeding requirements
• Medication needs
• Home access arrangements
• View PVG / Insurance certifcates
• Emergency contact details
• Any special requests or care instructions

Key Holding

For your convenience, keys can be securely retained for future bookings, avoiding the need for repeated key collections and drop-offs.

Free key collection is included during the initial meet & greet consultation.

Separate Key Collection or Return £5

To help keep visit prices affordable, key collection is normally completed during the free consultation visit.

If a separate journey is required solely to collect or return keys, a £5 charge per trip will apply.

If a client no longer requires our services, keys will normally be returned through the client’s letterbox during the final booked visit at no additional charge.

Lost Key Policy

Keys are stored securely and are never labelled with customer names, addresses, or identifying information.

In the unlikely event that a key is lost while in our care, +paws Cat Care’s insurance policy will be used where applicable.

Booking & Availability

For your convenience, bookings can be paid securely online through our client portal using debit or credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or bank transfer.

Early booking is recommended during school holidays and peak travel periods, as availability can become limited.

+paws Cat Care does not operate on Christmas Day.

Limited availability may apply during the Christmas and New Year period, so advance booking is strongly advised.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the first scheduled visit will receive a full refund.

Cancellations made within 48 hours of the first scheduled visit are non-refundable, as the booking slot has been reserved and may be difficult to fill at short notice.

If you return home early, any unused visits are non-refundable.

Please Note

Standard post delivered through the letterbox can be brought inside during visits.

Collection of parcels, courier deliveries, shopping, prescriptions, Collect+, Amazon returns, or other errands is not included within the service.
